social media

i have my reasons why i´m NOT at facebook or twitter. and if you pin my work on pinterest, please make sure to link it back to me by taking the button on my side: that will bring you to my board with all my art-links. thanks for respecting that.

i consider my blog to be my "artistic diary" - so i can recap what i made and which influences i got (exhibitions etc).

currently i try to publish frequently once in a week (mondays/tuesdays mostly)

People with a Google+ account: please leave a direct blog link, otherwise i can´t visit you.

Oslo - graffiti / mural art

i´m so sorry to start this post with angryness. i was away from blogland for more than a week and i was logged out of my blog. nothing new so far. but this time the log-in ceremony was more than complicated. if i wouldn´t have a smart phone since a few months, i think i would not have come back in. and so this way they have my mobile number. i HATE HATE HATE these connections. i do not think i´m paranoid by nature, but... well, i´ll stop here, as i wanted to make a new post.
if this blog will die one day, you might know: i just didn´t come back in!!

~~~~~~
i spent 5 days in oslo and came back with a lot of photos, which Need to be sorted and as always i will make a photo book of the travel. that takes time and so i think my next Posts will be mostly about certain parts of the journey.
today beginning with Graffiti and mural art.
ich war 5 tage in oslo und bin natürlich wieder mit massen an Fotos zurückgekommen, die jetzt erst mal sortiert sein wollen. wie immer möchte ich ein Fotobuch machen. das braucht zeit, und so werde ich auch in den nächsten Posts vermutlich von der reise berichten.
heute geht´s erst mal los mit Graffiti etc
right after the check-in to our Hotel on sunday we went direction Blå, an old fabric area of brick buildings, where there is a market on sundays only.
direkt nach dem einchecken im Hotel liefen wir los Richtung Blå, einem alten Fabrikgelände mit backsteinhäusern. dort gibt es sonntags einen alternativen markt.
there is a Little bit of street Food (the Graffiti above links to TsfT), you can buy old records, some art and jewelry etc
es gibt Kleinigkeiten zu essen (Waffeln, ein bisschen street Food...), man kann alte platten kaufen, oder Kunst und schmuck etc
the Colors looked quite intense this day, an Advantage of rain;)
die intensiven farben sind natürlich auch dem regen geschuldet;)
the fish below were Swimming on a kindergarten wall...
die fische unten schwimmen an einer kindergartenwand, auch beim Blå...
the vividly painted "scorpius" house schleppegrells gate / toftes gate
das lebhaft bemalte haus von "scorpius" an der ecke schleppegrells gate / toftes gate
the next one is on a wall at the Harbour
der punktemaler war unten am hafen zugange
These are near the munch Museum, but on this (wednes-)day we REALLY had rain and after a shower we gave up strolling around for Graffiti, which can be found here (at least our guide book says so)
die beiden häuserwände befinden sich nahe am munchmuseum. wir wollten dort noch länger rumlaufen, da es in diesem gebiet laut Reiseführer noch mehr Graffiti geben sollte... aber ein heftiger Regenschauer durchnässte uns und nahm uns die lust am suchen.
the ape was in Møllergata, if i remember right...
der affe war in der Møllergata
and finally this mural art from a collaboration of Pablo Picasso, who did the drawing, and the norwegian Artist Carl Nesjar, who sandblasted it.
it is located on a government´s building, and after the Terror attack of july 22, 2011 there was / is the discussion, if it should be re-located on an other place.
und diese wand-Kunst "Die Fischer" entstand 1970. Pablo Picasso lieferte die Zeichnung, der norwegische Künstler Carl Nesjar sandstrahlte es dann auf diese wand am Regierungsgebäude, in unmittelbarer nähe der stelle des Terror attentats vom 22. juli 2011. daraufhin wurde / wird diskutiert, ob es nicht abmontiert werden und einen anderen platz finden sollte.
so you can see, we had rain there - mostly on sunday and wednesday. but we had sunshine, too - and there are many Museums worth to visit... but that´s for another post :)
man sieht, wir hatten regen, v.a. am sonntag und mittwoch. aber wir hatten auch sonne, wolken und wind - und es gibt jede menge interessante Museen... aber für heute ist es genug :)
  2. I had the same problem with my blog recently. I was offline for several days due to my internet being down. I have NO cell phone, NO tablet, no nothing I can add, so I called my friend Scott. I have NO idea how he got me back into blogger, but it scares me how this double registration affects those of us who have no back up plans. Off my tirade, now, too!
    Your graffiti art is wonderful. Oslo is truly filled with beautiful sights to see, and these are so beautiful. Each is very different, too. I was super impressed with the pictures you took, and I look forward to seeing more and more.
    Thanks for sharing these wonderful photos with us for T this Tuesday. I LOVE the one you chose to share for T this week. SO glad you are back and online, too.
  3. I wouldn't have expected so much cool street art in Oslo. I don't know why, but I guess I think of cool street art in Berlin but not Oslo.I hope you show us more of your photos, and I hope you don't have computer issues. My husband has had some with his email lately too and he is also very frustrated. Hope its a happy T day. Hugs-Erika
  4. So sorry to hear about your blog troubles, I'm not so savvy with all the social media/connections etc. so I'd be in trouble if it wasn't for my son's help.
    Very cool street art in Oslo! Looks like another amazing place to see. Thanks for the super photos!
    Happy T day!
  5. diesen bloggermist hasse ich auch!! und auf dauernde veränderungen reagiere ich echt allergisch, da kann ich deinen unmut nur allzugut verstehen!
    deine graffiti-mitbringsel sind allesamt toll. ich hätte gar nicht gedacht, dass in oslo so viele künstler in dieser richtung unterwegs sind. ich freu mich auf mehr bilder aus norwegen (auch wenn ich sie vielleicht nicht kommentiere, weil ich dann unterwegs bin).
    liebe grüße
  6. Diese Problem sind wirklich ärgerlich und ich mag diese ganzen Verknüpfungen auch nicht besonders. Schön aber, dass Du wieder Zugriff auf Deinen Blog hast und uns solch coole Streetart von Deiner Reise zeigen kannst. Den Punktemaler finde ich besonders klasse, aber auch die zwei "Langnasen" sind super. Ich bin schon gespannt auf weitere Fotos von Oslo.
    Herzliche Grüße
    Julia
  8. Ah je, solche PC-Probleme hasse ich auch total, kostet die Beschäftigung damit doch so viel wertvolle Zeit! Hoffentlich läuft es jetzt bei dir stabil. Ich mag gar nicht daran denken, bei mir war's schon viel zu lang ruhig.
    Da hast du aber feine Bilder aus Oslo mitgebracht und warst ganz in deinem Element mit den Graffitis! Wirklich, der Punktemaler ist der Hammer, ein Glücksfall, dass du ihn bei der Arbeit erwischt hast!
    Bin gespannt auf mehr!
    Liebe Grüße - Ulrike
  11. Oh what a palaver! I would hate to give my phone number. I never give out my number, (only to friends of course) but I never get any adverts eother. Which is bliss.
    I'm glad you got back in though.
    I have never been to Oslo, but I love the grafitti. I like to call it street art. Because art it is. Thanks for sharing those great photos. I really enjoyed my grafitti tour of Oslo.
    Happy T-Day,
    Hugs,
  15. I can relate to your frustration over new technology, Johanna. Plus, I hate how there are so many trolls on the internet making things so difficult (even dangerous) for good decent people. Then I think about the fun part and how much I would miss connecting with people like you, seeing their creations, sharing mine, and seeing parts of the world I've never been to.
    I love the cat and fish street art. They make me smile. But all the art you shared is fascinating!
    Happy T-Day! Hugs, Eileen
  16. I hate how tricky the sign-in process can be to my various social media accounts. I dread being locked out some day :(
    Echt blöd, dass es bei Blogger immer diese Probleme gibt. Ich hoffe, du kommst immer wieder rein, sonst verpassen wir hier was. Also toi toi toi.
  20. What a very awesome place to visit-your journal will be amazing!
    That is awful to have to have a smart phone just to get into your own blog-I refuse to have a smart phone so I would be out of luck for sure--so many young kids have no social skills what so ever do to those "smart" phones and I refuse to tied down in that way-
    hugs to you--I didn't have a chance this week to post but wanted to stop by and visit today hugs Kathy
  21. Hope you never have trouble with your blog again as I would miss you. I thought the double registration thing was for them to help you out if ever you forgot your password, to ensure that someone else was not trying to take over your blog.
    I thoroughly enjoyed the graffit tour. My favourites were the colourful cats, the fish, the griffin-type creature, and I loved the man in the ladder with the spots art, how immensely clever that is.
