i have my reasons why i´m NOT at facebook or twitter. and if you pin my work on pinterest, please make sure to link it back to me by taking the button on my side: that will bring you to my board with all my art-links. thanks for respecting that.

i consider my blog to be my "artistic diary" - so i can recap what i made and which influences i got (exhibitions etc).

currently i try to publish frequently once in a week (mondays/tuesdays mostly)

People with a Google+ account: please leave a direct blog link, otherwise i can´t visit you.

whatever you celebrate...

... be it solstice (tomorrow)...
i can´t wait the days becoming longer again
this sun is embroidered on an old worn-out kitchen towel,
which has major holes meanwhile (bigger than the one shown;)
... but:
There is a crack in everything
That's how the light gets in.
(Leonard cohen, RIP)
... or be it Christmas...
i wish all my blogfriends
and as every week the mug leads you over to elizabeth´s blog...
thanks to all People who take the time to comment on my postings.
see you again after the Holidays :)

  1. Wow, you always amaze me with your wonderful embroidery! Your sun you have created on the old kitchen towel is perfect - I love it. Your gingerbread man mug really made me smile too :-). Wishing you a Happy T Day and Merry Holidays! J :-) x

  2. Your posts always make me smile, whether it's your slow stitching or your cute mug filled with coffee.

I'm in awe of the shooting star, but also the beautiful stars and sun. You are so good at this, it's unbelievable and enviable.

Sieht alles richtig schön meditativ aus!
    Liebe Grüße

  9. Your embroidery is beautiful as ever. What a great way of getting rid of the holes! lol!
The Leonard Cohen quote is good. He will be missed. The other day I was watching his speech to the Spanish royal family in 2011 when he was awarded the Prince of Asturias prize. Did you ever watch that? It is eleven minutes, but worth watching.(
Thank you for your holiday wishes and I wish you the same,
    Happy T-Day,

  10. Enjoyed seeing your beautiful needlework. That has to be one of the cutest seasonal mugs I've seen. Makes me want a gingerbread cookie with my morning coffee. Happy Holidays!

  12. I love your quote about cracks letting the light in. Your embroidery is wonderful - the shooting star, sun (over a hole?), as well as the five star panel. Wonderful!

Happy T Day and Happy Holidays, Johanna!

  13. I love the embroidered happy sun who does not care about the tiny hole on the checked teacloth. And the stars are delightful too in their patch-worked pattern.
What a super mug, also very happy.
Have the best of holidays and "see" you again soon.

  14. Wowwwww, sind das wieder tolle Stickereien. Einfach super!
Ich wünsche dir auch schöne Feiertage.
    LG Carola

  15. I love your quote from Leonard Cohen. It is so appropriate right now for many of us here in the United States, anticipating the change in our leadership. I think there might be many cracks, and we will be waiting for the light to come again. Wonderful holiday days to you.
